Tree Planting

We have an ambitious plan of greening Mandera County. Our philosophy of “Leading a green lifestyle” underscores the mandate, duty and responsibility to make (and be) the desired change towards building on the gains made through environmental restoration in an endeavor to address ourselves to the various components of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This will ensure green and clean homes, workplaces, communities, towns, counties, countries and to ultimately find lasting solutions within our ‘environments’ towards a habitable “planet Earth” now and for posterity. 

We have planted 30,000 trees over the past three years. We have an annual target of 10,000 trees. We have a dedicated team of volunteers that oversees this ambitious project.
